Greensky Bluegrass Pin

The band Greensky Bluegrass has a very involved fan-base with a culture of enamel pins made by the community. In the fall of 2017 I tried my hand at designing a pin for their annual two-night Kalamazoo State Theater run. A weekend that is lovingly called the hometown throwdown.
The dimensions of the pin are 1.5x2”.
The body of the pin is inspired by the Kalamazoo State Theater’s marquee. The text on the pin includes Greensky’s acronym, the year, and of course the the city of Kalamazoo. I added the autumn leaves to signify the fact that it takes place every Thanksgiving weekend.
